Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 18, 2025
1. Introduction
Search Console ("we," "our," or "app") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information in our app that helps you monitor and manage your website's Google Search Console data on iPhone.
2. Information We Collect
To provide our services, we collect minimal information:
- Google Account Authentication: We use Google OAuth to securely authenticate your Google account. We only request access to Google Search Console data.
- Google Search Console Data: We retrieve performance metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, position) and sitemap information from your Google Search Console properties.
- Widget Configurations: Your widget preferences and configurations are stored locally on your device.
- Basic Analytics (optional): Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics via Apple's App Analytics (you can disable this in iOS Settings).
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We designed this app to minimize data collection:
- No personal data storage: We don't store your name, email, or personal identifiers on our servers.
- No Google Search Console data storage: All data retrieved from Google Search Console is displayed in real-time and stored only locally on your device.
- No device data: We don't access your photos, contacts, location, or other apps.
- No tracking: We don't track your browsing history or behavior outside the app.
4. How We Use Your Information
The information we access is used solely to:
- Display your Google Search Console performance data in the app
- Show sitemap status and error information
- Update home screen widgets with your latest metrics
- Provide multi-property switching functionality
- Enable background data refresh for widgets
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data security is our priority:
- Local Storage: Widget configurations and app preferences are stored only on your device using iOS secure storage.
- No Server Storage: We do not maintain servers that store your Google Search Console data.
- Secure Authentication: Google OAuth tokens are stored securely in iOS Keychain.
- Encryption: All communication with Google APIs uses HTTPS encryption.
- Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. You can revoke app access in your Google account settings at any time.
6. Google Services Integration
This app integrates with Google Search Console API:
- We comply with Google API Services User Data Policy
- We only access data you explicitly authorize through Google OAuth
- We don't share your Google data with third parties
- You can revoke our access at any time through your Google account settings
- Google's Privacy Policy also applies to data accessed through their services
7. Widget Permissions
When you set up home screen widgets:
- Widget data is refreshed automatically in the background (requires iOS background refresh permission)
- Widget configurations are stored locally on your device
- We don't access other widgets or screen settings
- Widget refresh frequency is controlled by iOS system limitations
8. Third-Party Services
We use only essential services:
- Google OAuth: For secure authentication (governed by Google's Privacy Policy)
- Google Search Console API: To retrieve your website performance data
- Apple App Store: For in-app purchases and subscriptions (we don't see payment details)
- Apple Analytics (optional): Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics
We do not use any third-party advertising or tracking services.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except:
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect our rights or the safety of users
- With your explicit consent
10. Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13:
- We do not knowingly collect data from children
- The app requires a Google account, which has age restrictions
- If we learn we've collected data from a child, we'll delete it promptly
11. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your data:
